My primary design interest follows a history of investigations into the relationship between the built environment and the human body and mind. Architects have the incredible opportunity to envision and create the spaces people occupy. Doing so, my interest lies in developing a design process driven by the affective relationship between people and the built environment, focusing on spatial qualities experienced through sentience rather than conscious knowledge-based processes. My developing research is an investigation of the intersection of human perception and material composition.
